Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of FineFight and set out what the service does, what it does not do, and the terms on which representation is arranged. They are the binding version of statements made elsewhere on this site.
This document is not yet in force
Every section below is awaiting text from counsel. The structure is fixed and the headings are final, but the operative wording is drafted and approved by lawyers — not by us, and not by the software that built this page.
Nothing on this page is binding in its current state. If you need an answer about terms before this document is published, ask us directly.
Acceptance of these terms
Awaiting counsel
This section will cover: How and when these terms take effect, what constitutes acceptance, and how changes to them are communicated and applied.
What the service is
Awaiting counsel
This section will cover: A description of the service: citation reading, client confirmation, matter assessment, quoting, and referral to independent licensed attorneys. Includes the statement that FineFight is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice.
Formation of the attorney–client relationship
Awaiting counsel
This section will cover: The precise moment at which an attorney–client relationship forms, with whom it forms, and what it does and does not cover. This is the section that governs the acknowledgement recorded at checkout.
What depends on this
- Checkout consent — The acknowledgement recorded when a client accepts a quote references the version of this section in force at that time.
- Attorney acceptance — The wording an attorney sees when accepting a matter must be consistent with this section.
Scope of representation
Awaiting counsel
This section will cover: What a purchased engagement includes and excludes — appearances, filings, and how matters that expand beyond the original citation are treated.
What depends on this
- Quote scope — The included and excluded scope stated on each quote derives from this section.
Fees, payment and refunds
Awaiting counsel
This section will cover: How representation is priced and charged, the validity of a quote, what happens to fees if a matter resolves early or is withdrawn, and the circumstances in which amounts are refundable.
What depends on this
- Quote validity — Any period for which a quote remains open is stated here, not in marketing copy.
- Refund terms — The pricing page deliberately declines to summarise refunds and points here instead.
Your obligations
Awaiting counsel
This section will cover: What the client is responsible for: accurate information, confirming the details read from the citation, meeting deadlines and responding to document requests.
Independence of attorneys
Awaiting counsel
This section will cover: The independence of attorneys in the network, the absence of a supervisory relationship, and the allocation of professional responsibility.
No guarantee of outcome
Awaiting counsel
This section will cover: The express statement that no outcome is guaranteed and that nothing on the service constitutes a prediction or assurance about how a matter will resolve.
Limitation of liability
Awaiting counsel
This section will cover: The limits of FineFight's liability, and the allocation of liability between FineFight and independent attorneys.
Suspension and termination
Awaiting counsel
This section will cover: How an account or an engagement may be ended, by either party, and what happens to an in-progress matter.
Governing law and disputes
Awaiting counsel
This section will cover: The governing law, the forum for disputes, and any required dispute-resolution process.
Contacting us about these terms
Awaiting counsel
This section will cover: Where to direct questions or notices concerning these terms.
