Traffic citation representation
A traffic ticket is a legal matter.Treat it like one.
Paying a citation is an admission. It can add points, raise your insurance, and follow your record for years. FineFight reads your citation, assesses what you are actually facing, and connects you with a licensed attorney who handles the matter.
Start with a photo of your citation. No account needed to begin.
The short version
Four steps, start to resolution
- 01
Send us the citation
Photograph it or upload a file. We read the details off the document itself.
- 02
Confirm the details
You check what we read — the court, the violations, the deadline — before anything moves.
- 03
Get your assessment and quote
We assess the matter and issue a quote for representation, priced to your specific citation.
- 04
An attorney takes the case
A licensed attorney in the right jurisdiction accepts the matter and handles it from there.
How representation works
Your matter is handled by a licensed attorney, not by software
FineFight is not a law firm and does not give legal advice. What we do is read your citation accurately, assess the matter, and place it with an attorney licensed in the jurisdiction where your citation was issued.
Attorneys in the network review each matter individually and choose whether to take it. When one accepts, you see who they are, and the case work happens under their professional responsibility — not ours.
Are you an attorney? See the networkJurisdiction-matched
Attorneys are matched to the court that issued your citation, not to a national call center.
Case-by-case acceptance
An attorney reviews the specifics of your matter before accepting it. Nothing is auto-assigned.
A named person on your case
Once assigned, you can see who is representing you and what they have done.
Before you start
What you'll need
Most people have everything already. The citation itself carries most of it.
A photo of your citation
RequiredBoth sides if there is writing on the back. A clear phone photo is enough.
The state that issued it
RequiredThis determines which court has your matter and which attorneys can represent you.
Your response deadline
RequiredUsually printed on the citation. We will confirm it with you before proceeding.
Whether an accident was involved
If it appliesThis changes how the matter is assessed. We ask you directly.
Your license type
If it appliesA commercial license (CDL) changes what is at stake and how the case is handled.
Driver identity
If it appliesRequired where the court or the attorney needs it. We tell you why when we ask.
Coverage
Matters we take on
Whether a specific citation can be handled depends on the jurisdiction and the matter itself. The assessment determines that — this list is where to start.
After you hire
What happens once an attorney is on your case
You are not left guessing. Every stage has a visible status and a clear next step.
- 1
Your case is opened and matched
The matter is prepared and sent to attorneys licensed in your jurisdiction for review.
- 2
An attorney accepts and is assigned
You see who took the case. From that point they are the person handling your matter.
- 3
The attorney may request documents
If something is needed from you, it appears as a specific request with a deadline — not a vague email.
- 4
Court dates and milestones are tracked
Court dates are shown in the court's own time zone, with your local equivalent labelled separately.
- 5
You get case updates as they happen
Filings, appearances, continuances and outcomes are posted to your case timeline by the attorney.
- 6
The outcome is recorded
When the matter concludes, the result is recorded on your case in specific terms, not as a checkmark.
The representation model
Independent attorneys, choosing their own cases
Attorneys in the FineFight network are independent practitioners. They are not employees, and they are not obligated to take any particular volume of matters.
Each referral is reviewed by the attorney against the specifics of the matter — jurisdiction, court, violations and context — and accepted or declined on its merits. The professional obligations that attach to representing you are the attorney's own.
FineFight's role is to get the matter accurately understood, correctly routed, and transparently tracked.
Common questions
Before you decide
Do I have to go to court?
It depends on the jurisdiction and the matter. Some appearances can be handled by the attorney on your behalf; others require you. Your assessment addresses this for your specific citation.
What does it cost?
Pricing depends on the court, the violations and the case context, so it is quoted per matter rather than listed as a flat figure. You see the actual amount before you decide anything.
What if I already missed my deadline?
Tell us anyway. A passed deadline changes what the options are, and it is handled as its own path rather than treated as a form error.
Can you promise my ticket gets dismissed?
No. Nobody honestly can. What the attorney can do is represent the matter properly, and what we can do is tell you what you are actually facing.
